FRANS ALVAR ALFRED CARWÉN
8 June 1886, Korpilahti - 3 March 1935, Helsinki, Finland
In 1905 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts for 2 years.
In 1916 became a founder member of the November Group which was a Finnish group of expressionists and cubists.
Spent a few years in Denmark, Italy, France and Spain and, in 1921, became a teacher at the Drawing School of Finnish Art Society.
In 1929 became member of the Fine Art Academy of Finland.
