GRACIELA RODO BOULANGER

Born 1935 in La paz, Bolívia.

Her mother was a concert pianist and she followed the talent. Still a young girl began studying music and also art.

When she was 20 years old took the option to turn all of her talent to painting.

She studied etching and printmaking in Paris.

In 1979 UNICEF designated her the official artist for the International Year of the Child poster.

Many art exhibitions of her works have been held all over the world with a great success.

FLORIS JESPERS

1889-1965

Born in Antwerp, Belgium.

Studied at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts, joined the Avant-Gard movement in 1920 and five years later became member of Contemporary Art (Kunst van Heden).

He absorbed the influence of European Fauvism, Cubism and Expressionism.

Oil paintings, drawings, etchings and paintings behind glass arise in which regional themes are interchanged with circus scenes. Some of those works in a art-deco style.

He went to Belgium Congo in 1951 and there created a different kind of paintings, changing his style completely.

JINDRICH STREIT

Born 1946 in Vsetin, Czech Republic.

During his studies, in 1964, at the Pedagogical Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc, began taking photographs. 

And, in 1970 began study  at the Institute of Art and Photography in Brno.

After exhibited his works in 1982, that exhibition was banned by the state and he was arrested and accused of defamation of the President  and the country.

He lost his job as pedagogue, and was forced to earn a living at a state farm, and banned  from taking photographs.

In 1989, after the Velvet Revolution, Jindrich Streit was rehabilitated and allowed to take photos without limitations.

Now he works as a teacher at the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava, and, of course, continues taking photographs.

ALFREDO LUZ

Nasceu em 1951 em Riomeão, Portugal.

Tirou o curso de Artes Decorativas na Escola António Arroio em Lisboa.

Foi professor de Educação Visual em Lisboa, Luanda entre outras cidades. Mas a partir de 1985 dedica-se exclusivamente à pintura no seu estilo neo figurativo lírico.

Tem recebido ao longo da sua vida artística muitos prémios em pintura e desenho.
