QUERUBIM LAPA
Este artista Português, também pintor, gravador e ceramista nasceu em Portimão, em 1925.
Licenciou-se em Pintura e Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa e expôs pela primeira vez com apenas 18 anos no Instituto Italiano de Cultura.
Foi professor na Escola Industrial Machado de Castro e na Escola de Artes Decorativas António Arroio.
Enquanto professor trabalhou também como ceramista na Fábrica de Ceramica da Viúva Lamego, em Lisboa.
Como pintor,  começou como Neo-realista mas logo se tornou seguidor do Surrealismo, que  bem desenvolveu a partir do final dos anos 70 quando se dedicou exclusivamente à  cerâmica.
Deixou uma vasta obra e muitos trabalhos seus puderam ser admirados em exposições  promovidas pelo Museu Nacional do Azulejo e Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
Faleceu em Maio de 2016.

HANS SILVESTER
This photographer was born in 1938 in Lorrach, Germany.
Very young he began taking pictures and travelling. And he travelled a lot in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. From all those places perfect photos.
Yes, wonderful photos, from the horses of Camarge to East Africa's Omo Valley tribe without forgetting, of course, the cats on the Greek isles.
Today he continuous working and still living in Provence.
I love his photos, but I must confess the ones I prefer is the body painting of the Suma and Mursi people of the Omo Valley in Southern Ethiopia.

OLIVIA MUSGRAVE
She was born in 1958, in Dublin, Ireland.
Olivia studied sculpture at the City & Guilds of London after a few years living in Paris and Italy.
Her father is Irish and the mother Greek. May be the reason why she gets most of the inspiration  from the greek mythology.
In 1986 she was awarded by the Royal Society of British Sculptors and also by the Rodney Burns Drawing.

LUIS  PINTO-COELHO
(1942-2001) Lisboa, Portugal
Deixou Lisboa, onde nasceu, foi viver para Madrid em 1961 e lá se manteve até à sua morte em 2001.
Ficou conhecido como pintor retratista mas, sobretudo na última fase da sua vida, muitos dos seus trabalhos mostram como soltou fortemente a sua imaginação  criando telas com universos complexos e cheios de cor.
Foi um artista muito completo pois para lá da pintura também trabalhou em ceramica, mural, escultura e design.

STUART CARVALHAIS
(1887-1961), Vila Real, Portugal
Este artista muito completo foi o introdutor da banda desenhada em Portugal. Mas a sua criação artística levou-o a ser também fotógrafo, realizador de cinema, actor, decorador, cenógrafo, figurinista e designer gráfico.
"Stuart é um album de tipos estranhos, vergastados pela dor, pelos sarcasmos da vida e nele as figuras irmam-se aos aspectos sombrios de Lisboa, aquela parte onde o Sol não se debruça todos os dias, onde há sempre trevas." Ferreira de Castro, 1926.

CHINATOWN
An American  film directed by Roman Polansky  in 1974, and the strong interpretations of Faye Dunaway, Jack Nicholson and John Huston.
Polanski learned of the script through Jack Nicholson and both worked together for the big success. 
In 1974 the film won one Academy Award of the eleven nomination categories.
Also won 4 Golden Globes and 3 nominations  (the Best Motion Picture, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Screenplay).

LUCIO RANUCCI
È nato nel 1925 a Perledo, Italia.
En su pittura "cubista realista" utilizza la tecnica al oleo e ad acrilico con l'aggiuta di sabbie e terra.
Artista de pittura, disegno, acquarello, ceramiche e stampa multiple.
Lucio Ranucci left Italy in 1947 and moved to South America.
In Argentina and Peru he worked in several small jobs and also as sailor, photographer and journalist until 1963. 
Then he returned to Italy where he lives at age of 91.

KEVIN HENDLEY
He was born in 1961, in Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Studied Fine Art at St Martin's College of Art in London and his first exhibition was in Sue William's Gallery in the famous Portobello Road, Nothing Hill.
Since the first time I had the chance to see some of his paintings in the Art Gallery Smelik and Stokking in Amsterdam, were he is based now, I got the idea he is a great figuratif artist.

JUAN GRIS
(1887-1927)
He was born in Madrid, Spain, where he began his artistic life creating humorous illustrations to satirical magazines.
At the age of 20 he moved to Paris and there became friend of Matisse, Braque, Leger, and Picasso among others.
In Paris he lived and worked as a cubist painter, illustrator and sculptor.
He also designed ballet sets and costumes for famous Ballets Russes.
Gris had a very short life. He died in France, very young victim of a renal failure.
About him I always think if he could live longer, what else could we get more?
