EDWARD HOPPER
1882-1967
Born in Nyack, New York, USA.
This new realist painter, (american realism), studied at Eight, Aschan School. And in 1899 his parents encouraged him to study commercial illustration instead of free Art. He accepted and spent a short period at the New York School of Illustration. But soon decided to study at the New York School of Art.
Then worked as an illustrator for an advertising agency and only a few years later began working as a painter.
He considered be influenced by Manet, Degas, Hassan and Kooning.
