JESSICA RICE
1941-2016
She was born Jessica Patricia Lambrecht in Antwerp, Belgium.
Jessica began painting in Africa where she lived with her parents (both photographers) with a style near cubist.
She left Africa in 1959 to live in San Francisco, USA.
There she graduated at the Academy of Art in 1964 and awarded the Flax Scholarship.
Later, she moved to Los Angeles painting the diverse style of early 20th Century avant-garde movement.
She died in Mazatlán, Mexico, where she used to live and work part of the year, in her seaside studio.
