CAREL WEIGHT
1908-1997
Born in Paddington, London, United Kingdom.
He studied at the Hammersmith School of Arts and at Godsmiths College.
During the Second World War he served the Royal Engineers and the Army Education Corps.
After 1947 began teaching at the Royal College of Art until 1973.
Most of his early canvases were lost when a bomb destroyed his studio.
