ALMA MAHLER
1879-1964
Born in Vienna, Austria.
She was a composer for songs (voice and piano). And stoped composing after her first marriage with Gustav Mahler.
Became legendary in her lifetime because she spent her life pursuing relationships, both romantic and platonic.
Second marriage with the architect Gropius, third marriage with the novelist Franz Werfel and several lovers like the painters Oskar Kokoschka and Klimt. Also the theater director Max Burckhard, the composers Alexander von Zemlinsky, Pfitzner and Schreker. The poet Andre Gide. Even a catholic priest called Hollnsteiner.
She had the art of love and being loved as a wife, a lover or a muse.
