SALVADOR DALI
11 May 1904 - 23 January 1989
Born just 116 years ago in Figueras, Spain!
He was known as a Surrealist, Cubist and Dada painter but also in drawing, sculpture, jewelry, photography, writing and films.
Dali liked to use extensive symbolism in his art.
He was expelled from the Surrealist movement because of his constant clashes with some of other members. Neverthless, he became the most influential of the Surrealist artists and one of the most famous painter in the 20th century.
