JULIE SPEED
1951, Chicago, USA
From age 18 she spent a few years most of the time travelling and working in small jobs here and there as house painter, horse trainer, farm worker amongs others.
In 1978 she moved to Texas and studied art, painting, printmaking and drawing.
She paints surreal scenes in a realistic style influenced by Renaissance themes and the famous painters Otto Dix, Bosch and Bruegel.
Since 1989 Julie Speed shows her works in solo exhibitions.
