AMIT AMBALAL

Born 1943 in Ahmedabad, India.

He did his graduation on Arts, Commerce and Law.

Until 1979 worked as a businessman when he decided to become a full-time painter with interests extended to historical research, documentation, collection and also organizational activities in the contemporary art.

His first solo exhibition was in 1980 and never stopped to give us the chance to admire his works, inspired in reality and mythology with an irreverent humor.

Awarded several times in India and also in Italy (Civitella Ranieri Foundation, 2003).

Lives and works in Ahmedabad.
