GEORGES BELLOWS

1882-1925

Born in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

He began drawing even before to know writing.

As a young boy, enthousiastic with sports, he played baseball and basketball. And had the chance to continue playing at the Ohio State University but also providing illustrations for magazines and the School's Student Yearbook.

He also taught at the Art Students League of New York but soon began his full time career as a painter and printmaker.

His paintings and prints are in collections of many important museums.
