1899-1968
Born as Artur Fellig in Zolochiv, Ukraine. He referred to himself as The Famous.
He emmigrated with his family to the United States in 1909.
Self-taught, he held many photography-related jobs before gaining regular employment at a photography studio in 1918.
And in 1935 became a freelance news photographer.
He traveled a lot in Europe working for the Daily Mirror and also other projects until the end of his life.
During his career, this iconic photojournalist took thousands of images. He left us a kind of a reportage with his black and white street style photography.
