KAREN BLIXEN
1885-1962
The Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke was born in Copenhagen, Denmark.
She is best known for Out of Africa, the story of part of her life while living in Kenya.
As a writer she was several times considered for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
She married Blixen in Mombassa... etc etc everybody saw the film Out of Africa.
It is easy to understand how good she was in words and in drawings and paintings, mainly in some brilliant portraits of the native workers on her farm in Kenya.
