MARIÁ SVARBOVÁ

Pseudonym of Ana Baró she was born in 1988 in Slovakia.

Studied the preservation and restoration of artworks and archaeology but in 2010 she began as a photographer.

She said "Reworking the concept of the photo novel that originated through a combination of cinema and comic strips, my photgraphs are a sucession of short scenes in which the frontality and absence of contrasts remove any narrative dimension in favour of the fullness of the photographic surface."

For me her work is a wonderfull collection of minimalist photos we see and cannot forget.
