Artist pop american inspirated on day by day life.

Fils d'un éléveur de vollailes dans le New Jersey, il contraint d'abandonner ses études en 1942 pour remplacer son frère qui part à la guerre, dans la vie familiale.

Até 1958 vai progredindo nos seus estudos em cursos noturnos e só depois dessa altura começa a sua carreira como artista.
