PIETRO CONSAGRA
4 October 1920, Mazara del Vallo - 16 July 2015, Milan, Italy
Studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Palemo and became a post-war abstract sculptor.
He co-founded the art group Forma I publishing a journal and helding art exhibitions.
Consagra gave solo exhibitions in Brussels, Paris, Rotterdam, Rome, New York and became the first abstract sculptor to exhibit at the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Also participated frequently in the Venice Biennale.
