ALBERTO GIACOMETTI
10 October 1901, Stampa - 11 January 1966, Chur, Switzerland
The son of an impressionist landscape painter.
He studied in Geneva and in Rome. His first sculptures date from 1925.
Ten years later he left surrealism and the human form took a predominant place in his sculptures.
We also find good quality in his drawings which form an important part of his work.
