HUBERT MALFAIT
25 December 1898, Astene - 15 September 1971, Saint Martens, Belgium
Studied at the Ghent Academy for the Fine Arts.
In 1929 went to Paris for only a few months but had the chance to meet Chagall, Modigliani and Zadkine.
His classical expressionist period began in 1923 and his travels to England and South of France influenced on his use of colours.
