25 Agosto 1899 - 24 Junho 1991, Mexico

Estudou na Academia Nacional de Artes Plásticas do México.

Como artista manteve-se afastado da linha dos muralistas.

O Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo expõe a sua obra com alguma regularidade.

Foi Doutor Honoris Causa pela Universidad de Manila, Universidad Nacional do México e Universidad do Sul da Califórnia para lá de outras formas de reconhecimento do seu talento.
