She studied in Paris, worked as an art educator in New Zealand, South Afrika and British Samoa just before settle in Honolulu with her family.
And there, during the first years, she supported her family as a portrait artist.
Her father was an architect and seascape painter and her mother was a journalist and pianist.
Madge was known as the Gauguin of Hawai!
