Very young went to live in Paris with his family.
Lalique became learning jewellery-making techniques when working as an apprentice to craftsman.
In 1885, as an independent designer, worked for some of the best jewellery houses such as Cartier and Boucheron.
Three years later registerd his "RL" stamp and engraved his unique pieces.
He was known as the "inventor of modern jewellery" because, as an artist, he always had the desire to creat the pieces never seen before. And he did it.
In 1905 opened his shop at Place Vendome, in Paris.
The Art Nouveau master jewellery and glassmaker also received lots of commissions for interior design projects.
