FERNANDO BOTERO
Born 19 April 1932  in Medellin, Colombia. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !
Moved to Bogotá in 1951 and one year later to Madrid.
There he studied at the San Fernando Academy. Studied also in Florence, Italy, mainly fresco technique and art history, the great influence he got.
He is a painter of satirical portraits with a great humour.
After returning to Colombia he prepared his visit to New York, in fact, a visit extended for 10 years!
With a great success in many exhibitions in Europe and North and South America and consequent numerous awards.
He lives and works divided between Medellin, Madrid and Paris.
