22 November 1907 - 16 July 1997, Paris, France
Painter and surrealist photographer she was the Picasso's lover and muse during 10 years (1930-1940).
They met when he left his wife and he became directly in love. She offered him intellectual and creative stimulation.
In return he allowed her to photograph his masterpiece of art "Guernica"!
After the end of their relation she never regained her artistic confidence. Died fifty years later crushed by the lover who had painted her so many times.
She said "I was not Picasso's mistress, he was just my master".
