TAKASHI MURAKAMI
Born the 1st February 1962 in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
He attended Tokyo University of the Arts and now works in painting, sculpture, fashion and animation. Also with a lot of success with printmaking and as a designer working to Marc Jacobs and Louis Vitton among others.
Murakami is the founder and President of KaiKai Kiki Co., Ltd, one society to manage younger artists.
In 1996, he launched the Hiropon Factory in order to work on a larger scale.
In 2010 he became the third contemporary artist, and the first Japanese to exhibit at the Palace de Versailles, in France.
He exposed his works all over the world, from the United States to Qatar, Venezuela, Europe etc.
In this moment, and until the next 8 February, his works can be seen in the Garage Museum Contemporary Art in Moscow. And, from the 3rd February until 6 May in the Vancouver Art Gallery, in Vancouver, Canada.
