FUTURISM
On the 20th February 1909 it was published the Marinetti's Futurist Manifesto in the french newspaper Le Figaro.
Boccioni (1882-1916), painter and sculptor, was the most significant of the artists associated. He was born in the south of Italy and then settled in Milan. He died in 1914 victim of a military exercise. But his theories about Futurist aesthetics in painting and sculpture still remains.
The other artists are Marinetti (1876-1944), Carlo Carrà (1881-1966), Luigi  Russolo (1883-1947), Giacomo Balla (1871-1958) and Gino Severini (1883-1966).
