RUDOLF HAUSNER

He was a painter, draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor described as a psychic realist.
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1931 until 1936.
During de War he was a soldier but soon after that he founded a Surrealist Group.
In 1957 he painted his first "Adam" picture.
Later, in 1959, co-founded the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism.
In 1969 was awarded the Prize of the City of Vienna.
During the periode between 1966 and 1980 he worked as a guest professor at the Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste in Hamburg.
In 1970 he was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Printing.
