AFIFA ALEIBY
Born 1953 in Basra, Iraq.
She was graduated at the Institute of Art in Baghdad, Iraq and later also at the Surikov Institute of Arts in Moscow, Russia.
Then, after almost ten years in Moscow, she went to Italy. There, she spent twelve years in Florence. And also a small periode in The Netherlands.
During her first art studies she worked as an illustrator for the Iraqi press. 
And in 1981 she worked as a teacher at the Institute of Fine Arts in Aden, Yemen.
Lives and works in The Netherlands.
