EDWIN AMBROSE WEBSTER

1869-1935

Was born in Chelsea, Massachussetts, USA.

He studied at the Boston Museum School of Fine Art and, in Paris, at the Academie Julian.

Painter, lecturer and teacher considered as a pioneer of Modernism. He promoted with his paintings a style moved beyond Impressionism and Fauvism.
