DAVID MANZUR
Born 1929 in Neira, Caldas, Colombia.
During his childwood spent several years in Ecuatorial Guinea, Canary Islands and Seville in Spain.
Returned in 1947 to live in Bogota where he studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes. Later, in New York, studied at the Art Students League and at the Pratt Institute.
His work is strongly influenced by the Spanish painters like Velazquez and Zurbarán.
Received several awards in the United States and Colombia.
Now lives in Barichara, in his home country.
