BERNARD BUFFET
(1928-1999)
Born in Paris, France.
This expressionist painter studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts.
In 1973 he was named Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in the same year that was founded in Japan the Bernard Buffet Museum.
He left almost 10.000 paintings but in the last years of his life he was not able to continue painting. Suffering for Parkinson's disease, without accepting life in that conditions, he committed suicide.
