JEAN-MARIE BOOMPUTTE
He was born in 1947 in Ghent, Belgium.
Followed plastic Art courses in Ghent in the Hoger Institut Sin-Lucas, and Design in the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Watermael-Boitsfort in Brussels.
I saw his paintings for the first time in 1991 in Brussels, but after that, I could follow his art, almost every year, in the Centro Cultural de Almancil in Algarve, Portugal.
Boomputte is a figuratif painter with a good sense of humour. Il est ironique et tendre.
Quelqu'un a dit qu'il traduit cette Belgique qui connait un humour qui ne ressemble pas à aucun autre.
