BORDEL   BROTHEL   BORDELLO
The brothel exists, as far as we know, from more than 4.000 years!
In the city of Uruk, Sumerian priests housed women to serve sex and pleasures.
In later Europe, the ancient Rome and Greece had also brothels. And only in the early part of the 19th Century legal brothels apear in France, the "maison close".
At the same time, brothels were no secret in the USA.
In Chine and Japon the prostitution houses have been used since the ancient times. Houses with women not only for sex but also  dancing and singing.
Brothels inspired several artists from everywhere. It was difficult for me to choose a few  of those fabulous paintings, portraits of the life in those houses and, of course, the beauty and sensuality of those women.
